Type: Terrestrial, burrower
Temperament: Fairly docile, can be skittish
Housing: Use a terrarium that will alow at least 10 centimetres of substrate.
Retreat/hide: Use about 8 centimetres of peat moss. Place a bark for a starter burrow/hide, this is a opportunistic burrower. When they reach about 7 cm they stay out in the open which make them a good display tarantula.
Water requirements: A shallow water dish and/or weekly water spray.
Diet: Crickets, small roaches, mealworms, superworms. Pinky mice can also be offered once every few months for added variety.
Comments: This is a very attractive tarantula. It is always in view and is hardy.
