Housing: Use a terrarium that will alow at least 10 centimetres of substrate.
Retreat/hide: Use about 8 centimetres of peat moss. Place a bark for a starter burrow/hide.
Water requirements: A shallow water dish.
Diet: Crickets, mealworms, superworms. Pinky mice can also be offered once every few months for added variety.
Comments: This is a aggressive eating tarantula. They have never refused a meal unless near a molt. It is black with broad white bands on the legs joints along with thin stripes on the legs. Beauty coupled with size, makes this tarantula one of the better display species.
